Ray Parents,
At roughly 12 pm, the school office was notified by CPD that students should not leave the building as they looked for an armed robbery suspect in the neighborhood. A few minutes later, officers came to secure the building. With their support, we did a brief full-building lockdown as a safety precaution to ensure our building was safe. We also kept all recess indoors during that time. By 12:45, CPD let us know that the suspects were apprehended. We want to assure you that all students were safe during the process and remain safe. As always, our teachers and counselors were available for any students who may have been impacted during this event. Thank you for your support, -Megan & Gayle Amplify Workshop: From Syria to the South Side
