This letter was sent home today with your child
Friday, January 10, 2020 Dear parents, This letter is to inform you that January 15th to February 18, 2020 is the testing window for the ACCESS test. All students identified as English Learners grade Kindergarten to 8th grade will participate. The ACCESS test is an English Language Proficiency assessment that measures students’ abilities in the four domains- Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing. Each domain takes between 15-60 minutes, depending on the grade level. Students with IEPs will be given the appropriate testing accommodations. As always, to help your child perform their best, please make sure they are well rested and eat a nutritious breakfast. If possible, avoid scheduling appointment on their testing dates. If you need specific dates, please reach out to me directly. The results of this test will become available August 2020 in preparation for the development and implementation of services and placement. Results will be shared with you also. Please reach out to me if you have any specific concerns or questions. Thanks, Andrea McGehee, NBCT English Language Program Teacher Ray Elementary School [email protected] |
