Join Ray parents and staff to view and discuss the first episode of the critically-acclaimed documentary series, America to Me. The series explores issues of race and inequity at Oak Park River Forest High School. From 6:00-8:00 on Thursday, April 4, we will gather to eat, watch, talk about the episode and how it relates to our own experiences. 7th and 8th graders are welcome to attend with a parent. Mrs. McGeheeSince 2008, I have dedicated my professional life to serving the educational needs of a diverse student body. My Elementary Education Master’s degree is from Northern Illinois University and I am a certified ESL teacher, grades K through 8. I moved to the United States from Ecuador as a child and am personally aware and prepared for the challenges that large transitions can have on students academically.
