We are looking for a group of parents that would be interested in establishing a Bilingual Advisory Committee (BAC). The BAC is recognized as a standing committee of the Local School Council (LSC). We need at least 5 parents to participate, of which 2 must be parents of English Learners (ELs). There is a minimum of 5 meetings throughout the year and $500 will be set aside for BAC meetings and/or activities. The goal of the BAC is to help parents of ELs develop leadership skills for effective participation in schools and to advocate for the academic, social, and cultural development of all ELs.
