Students & Families! I truly hope that you and your families are safe and well. All of your teachers miss you so much! I want you to know the following about remote learning.
1) I will meet synchronously with all ESL students who do not have an endorsed teacher daily for 60 minutes, as well as post Choice Board and Family Activities that you are not required to do, but you can do if you are looking for something enriching to keep you busy. I know that there are many new demands from your other teachers, and my classes are meant to support your homeroom work through pre-teaching vocabulary/concepts, pre-reading text for comprehension support and general classwork support ("Ms. XYZ assigned XYZ and I feel lost. Help!"). I look at everything you turn in and will provide personalized feedback within the week. 2) My main goal is to support you with your new remote learning by answering any emails, questions and requests for help. It can be related to assignments, tech needs, or ANYTHING you might need (even if it is just to chat). ([email protected]) 3) I will be available to meet with you or your parents during my office hours, too. Please email me to request a Google Meet, Google Hangout or phone call ([email protected]). If this time doesn't work for you, email me and we will find a time that works.

4) Also, if your teachers notice you are falling behind, not turning in assignments, turning your screen/mic off AND not participating, etc., please expect a call to your parents from me. I want to make sure you are safe, have food, have internet, have your technology needs, are feeling mentally and physically safe/healthy, etc.
I am here to help and support you, so please do not hesitate to reach out! ([email protected])
